Hee hee, doesn't this look like a caterpillar-ravaged lunch? Any guesses what this is?Hint: This is just the "base" for another preparation.. answers in the next post!
potato gnocchi.... LOLu sure do have caterpillar on ur mind, don't you? the other day u mentioned caterpillar in ur mint and now this heh!heh!
It could be anything, I suppose (some sort of decorated pizza?) but it sure does look caterpillar-ravaged. a very fat caterpillar-ravaged!
Oh!! spicy kaju shaped deep fried snack!!! I remember something like this is sold in mumbai guju snack stores!!!I may be way off the mark here!!
Looks like a savory crust base!! A giant cookie? Can't wait!!!:))

okay okay, i admit it. i was there. i ate it.
I think they are cookies. looks so pretty.
It looks sooooo goood! It's a cookie. Or looks like an Indian sweetmeat :)
You are making a pacman pizza.
Hi Shilpa,Looks great.......its looks like Dhokli made for gujarati dish Dal-Dhokali......but I think this is comes out cookies also.
BTW, I love the new look and new songs on your page now :)
dun leave us thinking too long...our mind wonders around.... i am thinking about almond biscuits!
suganya, asha, sharmi, jyothsna & keropok man - nope, not cookies or biscuits. :) and not sweetmeat either!richa - oooh, you're quite close, but there's no potato in this! :) and yes, ugh, i have this unreasonable fear of all legless creatures (snakes, eels, worms)!! haha! sra & sia - haha, actually, it wasn't neither a caterpillar nor me, but a vodka shotglass that I used for cutting out the crescents. It was of the perfect diameter! :)hi manasi, i didn't deep-fry them, but they could have been! hey lemongrass, you definitely didn't eat much, since i still see so many crescents on the side! :) victor, i haven't heard of pacman in ages, haha!! more childhood memories!kajal, you are almost right, this is VERY close to gujarati dhokla, except that - surprise - it's an Italian version! :) thanks, jyothsna, i try to change the songs every week, but for a long time i was hooked on amrinder gill! :)
Some kind of "dumpling" ?
Umm, Is this cooked polenta? I thought so because sometimes polenta is cut into different shapes and either fried or baked...I will be checking back for the answer.
