Guess who?

Hee hee, doesn't this look like a caterpillar-ravaged lunch? Any guesses what this is?

Hint: This is just the "base" for another preparation.. answers in the next post!

It could be anything, I suppose (some sort of decorated pizza?) but it sure does look caterpillar-ravaged. a very fat caterpillar-ravaged!

suganya, asha, sharmi, jyothsna & keropok man - nope, not cookies or biscuits. :) and not sweetmeat either!

richa - oooh, you're quite close, but there's no potato in this! :) and yes, ugh, i have this unreasonable fear of all legless creatures (snakes, eels, worms)!! haha!

sra & sia - haha, actually, it wasn't neither a caterpillar nor me, but a vodka shotglass that I used for cutting out the crescents. It was of the perfect diameter! :)

hi manasi, i didn't deep-fry them, but they could have been!

hey lemongrass, you definitely didn't eat much, since i still see so many crescents on the side! :)

victor, i haven't heard of pacman in ages, haha!! more childhood memories!

kajal, you are almost right, this is VERY close to gujarati dhokla, except that - surprise - it's an Italian version! :)

thanks, jyothsna, i try to change the songs every week, but for a long time i was hooked on amrinder gill! :)

Umm, Is this cooked polenta? I thought so because sometimes polenta is cut into different shapes and either fried or baked...I will be checking back for the answer.

Shilpa said...

hi tiger, err, no. :) sorry!

welcome poonam! :) BINGO! Well, almost. It's not made of cornmeal but prepared quite like polenta! It also starts with "p"! have finished the draft for my post but need to modify it 'cos I found a bottle of wine that I had to talk about! heh heh.. thanks for coming by!
